₹ Stipend for KRCL Trainee Apprentice 2026
The stipend is paid through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) — half from the Government of India and half from KRCL:
- Graduate Apprentices: ₹4,500 (Govt) + ₹4,500 (KRCL) = ₹9,000 per month
- Technician (Diploma) Apprentices: ₹4,000 (Govt) + ₹4,000 (KRCL) = ₹8,000 per month
You’ll need a bank account in your own name and a PAN card to receive the stipend. Keep the same Aadhaar-linked bank account throughout the training.

🔍 KRCL Trainee Apprentice 2026 Selection Process
The selection is purely merit-based — no written exam! Here’s how it works:
- Your aggregate percentage across all semesters / years will be calculated
- A merit list will be prepared based on this percentage
- Candidates equal to 3 times the number of seats will be called for document verification in the first round
- Land loser candidates (those whose land was acquired for the Konkan Railway Project) get first preference
- Candidates from KRCL jurisdiction districts (Raigad, Ratnagiri, Sindhudurg in Maharashtra; North & South Goa; Uttara Kannada, Udupi & Dakshina Kannada in Karnataka) get second preference
If two candidates have the same marks, the older candidate gets priority. Keep all your original documents ready for verification!
