💰 RPF Constable Job Profile & Salary (Level-3)

The Constable post falls under Level-3 of the 7th CPC. The Basic Pay starts at ₹21,700, with a gross salary ranging from ₹35,000 to ₹40,000 initially.

⚙️ Selection Process (Recruitment Stages)

Stage 1: CBT (Computer Based Test)

Single stage exam consisting of 120 questions (General Awareness: 50, Arithmetic: 35, General Intelligence & Reasoning: 35). 90 Minutes duration. 1/3rd Negative Marking applies.

Stage 2: PET & PMT

Physical Efficiency Test (Run/Jump) and Physical Measurement Test (Height/Chest). This is the toughest stage for Constable candidates.

Stage 3: Document Verification (DV)

Candidates qualifying PET/PMT are called for DV based on CBT merit.

Stage 4: Medical Examination

Candidates must be medically fit in the B-1 category.

The PET standards for Constable are stricter than SI. Candidates get only one chance for the run.

The syllabus is identical to SI but the difficulty level is Matriculation (10th) standard.
