Common for all posts. It is only qualifying in nature. Marks scored here are NOT added to the final merit, but used to shortlist candidates for CBT-2 (usually 15 times the vacancies).
Separate exams for each Pay Level (Level 2, 3, 5, 6). The questions are tougher than CBT-1. Final selection is primarily based on marks obtained here.
• CBAT (Psycho Test): For Station Master & Traffic Assistant. Requires T-Score of 42 in each battery.
• Typing Test: For Clerks/Time Keepers. Speed: 30 WPM (English) or 25 WPM (Hindi).
Document Verification followed by a strict Medical Exam at Railway Hospitals.
📖 Detailed Exam Pattern & Syllabus
Both CBT-1 and CBT-2 follow a similar subject structure, but the difficulty level varies. There is 1/3rd Negative Marking for every wrong answer.
