Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) Thiruvananthapuram has officially released the Supplementary Result for Part Panel I and the Medical Appeal Notice for Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP) candidates under CEN 01/2024. Medically unfit candidates have until March 4, 2026, to file an appeal.

The RRB Thiruvananthapuram has issued two critical updates for candidates of the Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP) recruitment (CEN 01/2024). Firstly, a Supplementary Result to Part Panel I has been published on 02.02.2026, empanelling additional candidates who were previously kept on hold or have now cleared the necessary stages. Secondly, a notice dated 03.02.2026 lists candidates found Medically Unfit in the prescribed category and provides the procedure to appeal against the medical decision.

Candidates awaiting their final status or looking to challenge their medical report must act immediately, especially regarding the medical appeal deadline.

1. Supplementary Result to Part Panel I

Following the 1st Stage CBT, 2nd Stage CBT, CBAT, and Document Verification (conducted in October 2025), RRB Thiruvananthapuram had issued Part Panel I on 09.12.2025. This new Supplementary Panel includes candidates who have now been found suitable and medically fit.

  • Total Candidates Empanelled: 6 (Six)
  • Action: Their names have been forwarded to the Principal Chief Personnel Officer, Southern Railway, Chennai, for the appointment process.
  • Next Steps: Selected candidates will receive individual communication from Southern Railway regarding their offer of appointment.

2. Medical Appeal for Unfit Candidates

The RRB has also notified candidates who attended Document Verification in January 2026 but were found UNFIT in the required medical standards (A1) for ALP. These candidates have the right to appeal to the Principal Chief Medical Director (PCMD), Southern Railway.

Key Instructions for Appeal:

  • Deadline: Appeals must reach the Chairman, RRB Thiruvananthapuram, by 18:00 hrs on 04.03.2026.
  • Mode: Only via Registered Post or Speed Post.
  • Requirements:
    1. Proforma A: A medical certificate from a specialist (Govt/Private) in the specific field (e.g., Eye Specialist for visual defects) stating the candidate fits the Railway standards. The doctor must attest the candidate’s photo and certify awareness of Railway Medical Rules.
    2. Annexure B: Application in the candidate’s own handwriting.
    3. Demand Draft (DD): Rs. 1000/- drawn in favour of FA&CAO / Southern Railway, Chennai.

Note: If the appeal is successful and the candidate is declared fit upon re-examination, the Rs. 1000/- fee will be refunded. If the appeal is rejected, the amount is forfeited.

Candidates can follow these steps to check if their Roll Number appears in the supplementary panel or the medical unfit list:

  1. Visit Official Website: Go to the RRB Thiruvananthapuram official website or use the direct PDF links provided below.
  2. Locate the Notice: Look for “CEN 01/2024 ALP Supplementary Result” or “Medical Appeal Notice”.
  3. Download PDF: Open the respective document.
  4. Search Roll Number: Use Ctrl + F (on desktop) or the Search icon (on mobile) to enter your Roll Number.
  5. Verify Details: If your number is in the Panel list, wait for the appointment letter. If in the Medical Unfit list, prepare your appeal immediately.
