Detailed Update: What This Notice Means for You

The published list is purely provisional. This means that candidates listed as “Eligible” are allowed to appear for the written examination subject to the verification of their original certificates at a later stage.

Crucial Note on Call Letters: Unlike standard recruitment drives where you might download admit cards from a portal, RRC ECoR has stated that Call Letters (Admit Cards) for eligible candidates will be issued directly to their registered email addresses. Therefore, it is vital to keep checking your email inbox (and spam folder) regularly.

The date of the written test will be published on the official website shortly. We advise all eligible candidates to be in a state of readiness.

How to Check Your Eligibility Status

The official PDF document is divided into three main sections:

  1. Page 2-8: List of Eligible Candidates in Level-2.
  2. Page 9-17: List of Eligible Candidates in Level-1.
  3. Page 18-22: List of Ineligible Candidates (with rejection codes).

Steps to Check:

  1. Download the Eligible/Ineligible List PDF from the link provided at the bottom of this page.
  2. Open the file and use the search function (Ctrl + F on desktop or the “Search” icon on mobile).
  3. Enter your Control Number or Name.
  4. If your name appears in the “Eligible” section, congratulations! Start revising for the exam immediately.
  5. If your name is in the “Ineligible” section, note the Rejection Code (e.g., R-1, R-5) mentioned next to your name.

Understanding Rejection Codes (Why Was I Rejected?)

If you find your name in the ineligible list, it is important to understand why. RRC ECoR has provided specific codes for rejection:

  • R-1: Unrelated application or not in prescribed format.
  • R-2: Missing requisite Scouts & Guides Qualification.
  • R-3: Missing Educational Qualification.
  • R-5: Does not fulfill the Age Limit.
  • R-8: Non-payment of examination fees.
  • R-10: Incomplete application (no declaration, identification mark, or clear photo).
  • R-11: Copies of certificates (Age, Education, Participation) not enclosed.

Strategic Guide: The Written Exam Pattern

For those who are eligible, the battle is half-won. The selection now depends heavily on the Written Test. Based on the standard Scouts & Guides quota format, here is what you should prepare for:

  • Total Duration: 60 Minutes.
  • Total Marks: 60 Marks.
  • Section A (Objective): 40 Marks (40 Questions). Topics usually include General Knowledge and Scouts & Guides Organization activities.
  • Section B (Essay): 20 Marks (1 Question). You will be required to write an essay on a scouting-related topic.

Negative Marking: Expect 1/3rd mark deduction for wrong answers in the objective section.
