Railway Recruitment Cell, Eastern Railway (RRCER) has officially released the Document Verification (DV) Schedule for the engagement of Act Apprentices for the year 2025-26. According to the important Notice No. RRC/ER/Act Apprentices/2025-26 (429) dated 16.01.2026, the DV process for candidates selected for Kanchrapara Workshop and Sealdah Division units will commence from 02 February 2026.
The link to download the e-Call Letter for Document Verification will be active from 17 January 2026 (08:00 AM). Candidates are advised to download their admit cards immediately and prepare the necessary documents as per the checklist provided below.

Detailed DV Schedule and Venue Context
The Document Verification will be conducted at a centralized venue for both Kanchrapara and Sealdah units.
- Venue: Recruitment Section Under Dy.CPO, Eastern Railway, Kanchrapara, North 24 Pgs, West Bengal – 743145.
- Schedule: The DV will run from 02/02/2026 to 17/02/2026, excluding holidays on 07/02/2026 and 08/02/2026.
- Block Date for Absentees: 17 February 2026 is reserved for absent candidates. If you miss your scheduled slot due to a valid reason, you may appear on this date with proof. Note: No separate call letter will be issued for this reserved date.
List of Documents Required for RRC ER DV
Candidates must carry original documents along with two (02) sets of self-attested photocopies to the venue. Failure to produce these may lead to cancellation of candidature:
- e-Call Letter: The printed copy of the DV Admit Card downloaded from the official site.
- Photographs: 10 Copies of the same photograph uploaded during the online application.
- Educational Certificates:
- Admit Card, Mark Sheet, and Certificate of Secondary Examination (10th Standard).
- Admit Card, Mark Sheet, and Certificate of ITI Examination.
- Identity Proofs:
- Voter Identity Card (Both sides).
- Aadhar Card (Both sides).
- PAN Card (Both sides).
- Caste/Community Certificate: SC/ST/OBC/EWS certificate in the central government format (if applicable).
- Application Form: Copy of the Online Application Form.
- Medical Fitness Certificate:
- Must be issued by a Government Authority Doctor (Gazetted) not below the rank of Assistant Surgeon.
- Use the prescribed format attached to the notification.
- For PwBD/ESM Candidates: Original Disability Certificate or Discharge Booklet/Pension papers.
Important Note: Candidates must write their Name, Address, and nearest Railway Station on the first page of each photocopy set. Column Nos. 10 to 11 of PART-A of the e-call letter must be left blank and filled only in the presence of the invigilator.
Medical Fitness Certificate Instructions
A crucial part of the DV process is the submission of the Medical Fitness Certificate. The format is provided in Schedule-II of the notification.
- Ensure the certificate is signed by a Gazetted Medical Officer of a Central/State Hospital.
- The doctor’s seal, registration number, and designation must be clearly visible.
- The photo on the medical certificate must be attested by the Medical Officer.
