Detailed Analysis: Eligible vs. Ineligible Lists

The scrutiny of online applications for the Railway Recruitment drive has been completed. Out of a total of 496 applications received, nearly half have been rejected due to various discrepancies.

1. Provisionally Eligible Candidates

The RRC has shortlisted candidates who met the initial criteria. These candidates are now advised to remain in a state of readiness, as the Sports Trials will be conducted shortly.

  • Level-1 Posts: 161 candidates found eligible (Listed in Annexure-A).
  • Level-3/2 Posts: 69 candidates found eligible (Listed in Annexure-B).

2. Ineligible Candidates

A total of 266 candidates have been declared ineligible (Listed in Annexure-C). The primary reasons for rejection cited in the official notice include:

  • “Not Eligible As per Sports Norms”: The sports achievements certificates submitted did not meet the specific requirements of the notification.
  • Date of Birth Issues: Candidates being underage or overage, or failing to submit valid proof.
  • Certificate Validity: Submission of invalid caste certificates or sports certificates that pre-date the eligible period.

Mentor Note: If your name is in the eligible list, do not relax. The “Sports Trial” is the most critical phase. The dates will be announced suddenly, often with short notice. Ensure your physical fitness is at its peak starting today.

What Next? Sports Trials & Document Verification

For the 230 eligible candidates, the next step is the Field Trial. In Sports Quota recruitment, the trial assesses your actual game performance and physical capability. This is usually followed by or combined with Document Verification.

Documents to Carry for Sports Trials/DV

While the specific date and venue will be intimated later, candidates must prepare their document kit now to avoid last-minute panic. Missing a single document can lead to disqualification despite being a good sportsperson.

  2. Date of Birth Proof: 10th Class (Matriculation) Certificate is mandatory.
  3. Educational Qualification: Original Marksheets and Certificates (12th/Graduation) as per the post level (Level 1 or Level 2/3).
