About Railway Sports Quota Recruitment

The Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC) conducts “Open Advertisement” recruitment drives every financial year to hire talented sportspersons for Indian Railways. ⚡ Quick Summary:
  • No Written Exam: 100% Sports & Skill based selection.
  • Age Limit: 18-25 Years (Strictly, No Relaxation).
  • Job Type: Permanent Central Govt Job with 7th CPC Salary.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Q: Can I apply for Level 4/5 posts if I am only 12th pass? A: No. For Level 4/5, Graduation is mandatory. However, if you have high sports achievements (Category A/B) but only 12th pass education, you may be considered for Level 2/3 posts instead.
Q: Is a District Level certificate valid? A: Generally, no. District or School level participation (unless All India School Games) is not sufficient. You need at least State representation in Nationals or University representation.
Q: Can I apply to multiple Railway Zones? A: Yes! Since each RRC (like Northern Railway, Western Railway) releases separate notifications at different times, you can apply to all of them if you meet the eligibility. This increases your chances of selection.
