1. Update for Medically Unfit Candidates (Appeal Process)

The Railway Recruitment Board has released a list of candidates who were found UNFIT in the A1 Medical Standard required for the ALP post.

How to Appeal: If you believe the medical decision is incorrect, you can appeal to the Principal Chief Medical Director (PCMD), South Western Railway, Hubballi.

  • Submission: The appeal must be submitted to the Chairman, RRB Bengaluru office.
  • Last Date: Your appeal must reach by 13/02/2026 (18:00 Hours) via Registered/Speed Post.
  • Fee: A Demand Draft (DD) of ₹1,000/- in favor of “Chairman, RRB, Bangalore”.
  • Required Docs: Proforma ‘A’ (Appeal Application) and Proforma ‘B’ (Medical Certificate from a specialist).

Note: If your appeal is successful and you are found FIT upon re-examination, the ₹1,000 fee will be refunded.

2. Final Chance for Absent & Absconding Candidates

RRB Bengaluru has taken a strict view on candidates who either did not report for the medical exam or left the hospital without completing the process.

  • Absent Candidates: One candidate (Roll No. ending …226030) failed to report.
  • Absconding Candidates: Two candidates reported but left before the exam concluded.

Action Required: These candidates are being given a FINAL OPPORTUNITY. You must report to the RRB Bengaluru Office (18, Millers Road) immediately on any working day, but latest by 21/01/2026.

  • Consequence: Failure to report by this date will lead to immediate cancellation of your candidature without further notice.

List of Documents Required for Medical Appeal

To ensure your medical appeal is not rejected summarily, ensure you attach the following:

  1. Proforma A: Application for appeal in your own handwriting and signature.
  2. Proforma B: A medical certificate from a Government or Private Specialist.
    • Must contain: Detailed diagnosis, candidate’s photo & identification mark (attested by the doctor), and the doctor’s MCI/State registration number.
    • Doctor’s Note: The doctor must certify they are aware of the Railway’s A1 standards and that the candidate has been declared unfit by a medical board.
  3. Original Demand Draft: ₹1,000/- value.
