However, the board has provided a final opportunity for these candidates to appeal against the decision. Candidates who wish to request a Re-Medical Examination must submit their appeals to the RRB Bilaspur office on or before 03rd March 2026. Failure to appeal by this deadline will result in the final cancellation of candidature.

Details of the Medical Unfit List
After the Document Verification (DV) process, candidates were sent to Divisional Railway Hospitals for medical testing. The post of ALP requires the stringent A-1 Medical Standard (physically fit in all respects, Distant Vision: 6/6, 6/6 without glasses with Fogging Test, Near Vision: Sn 0.6, 0.6 without glasses, and must pass tests for Colour Vision, Binocular Vision, Field of Vision, Night Vision, Mesopic Vision, etc.).
The 220 candidates listed in the notification failed to meet these criteria. The PDF list contains the Roll Numbers of these candidates. If your roll number appears in this list, it means you have been disqualified on medical grounds, but you have one chance to challenge this finding.
How to Appeal for Re-Medical Examination
If a candidate believes the medical disqualification is erroneous, they can file an appeal. The decision to grant a re-medical examination rests with the Principal Chief Medical Director (PCMD), South East Central Railway (SECR), Bilaspur.
Step-by-Step Appeal Process:
- Obtain a Fresh Medical Certificate: You must consult a Government or Private Specialist Doctor and undergo a medical check-up for the specific condition you were disqualified for (e.g., Vision). The doctor must issue a certificate in the prescribed Annexure-II format.
- Note: The certificate must have your recent photo (attested by the doctor) and clearly state that the specialist is aware of your previous rejection by the Railway Medical Authority.
- Prepare the Demand Draft (DD): A Demand Draft of Rs. 1000/- must be drawn in favor of “PFA/SECR/Bilaspur” payable at “Bilaspur”.
- Fill the Appeal Application: Complete the application form provided in Annexure-I of the notification.
- Submission: Submit the Appeal Application (Annexure-I), the Medical Certificate (Annexure-II), and the original Demand Draft to the RRB Bilaspur Office by Speed Post or in person.
