RRB Ministerial Selection Process
The recruitment process generally involves a Single Stage CBT followed by skill tests (Stenography/Translation/Performance/Teaching Skill Test) as applicable, and finally Document Verification and Medical Examination.
Single Stage CBT: Objective type computer-based test for all posts.
Skill Test / Translation Test / Performance Test: Applicable for specific posts like Stenographer, Junior Translator, Teachers.
Document Verification (DV): Shortlisting based on CBT merit (and Skill Test where applicable).
Medical Examination (ME): To ensure candidates meet the medical standards for the post.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is there negative marking in RRB Ministerial Exam?
Yes, there is a negative marking of 1/3rd marks for every incorrect answer in the CBT exam.
What is the Translation Test for Junior Translator?
It is a qualifying test. Candidates 10 times the number of vacancies are called. Qualifying marks are 60%. Merit is based on CBT marks only.
What are the minimum qualifying marks?
The minimum percentage of marks for eligibility is: UR/EWS-40%, OBC-30%, SC-30%, ST-25%. (2% relaxation for PwBD candidates in case of shortage).
What is the weightage for Teachers’ Skill Test?
For PGT/TGT/PRT, the ratio of CBT to Teaching Skill Test is 85:15. For Music/Craft teachers, the ratio is 60:25:15 (CBT:Performance:Skill).
