RRB NTPC UG CBTST Schedule & Admit Card Details
According to the official notice, the CBTST will take place on 13th February 2026. This test is a qualifying nature exam for posts like Junior Clerk cum Typist and Accounts Clerk cum Typist.
- Exam City & Date: The link to view your specific Exam City and Date, along with the Travelling Authority for SC/ST candidates, will be activated on official websites 10 days prior to the exam.
- E-Call Letters: Candidates can download their Admit Card 4 days before their scheduled exam date.
Important: Exercise Your Typing Language Option
The RRB has activated the link for candidates to choose their typing language. This is a critical step for all shortlisted aspirants.
- Deadline: You must submit your choice by 07:00 PM on 03.02.2026.
- Options: English or Hindi.
- Default Rule: If a candidate fails to submit their option within the stipulated time, the default language assigned will be ENGLISH.
- Hindi Font: Candidates opting for Hindi must be familiar with either Krutidev or Mangal font.
- No Changes: Once an option is exercised, it cannot be changed under any circumstances.
How to Select Typing Language for CBTST?
- Visit the official link (provided below) or your respective RRB website.
- Login using your Registration Number and Password.
- Click on the “Language for CBTST” tab.
- Select the Plus (+) icon to view options.
- Choose your preference: English or Hindi.
- Click “Submit” to save your selection.
Exemption for PwBD Candidates
Candidates with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) who are permanently disabled due to Blindness/Low Vision, Cerebral Palsy, or Locomotor Disability (not less than 40%) may be exempted from the Typing Skill Test.
- Upload Period: 29.01.2026 to 11.02.2026 (up to 07:00 PM).
- Process: Upload a scanned copy of the Typing Skill Test Exemption Certificate issued by a Competent Medical Board in the format prescribed in Annexure V(E).
- Where to Upload: Use the same login link provided below. Select “Problem Category: Typing Skill Test” and “Sub-category: Exemption Certificate”.
- Documents: Ensure the file is a JPG or PDF (Max 5MB).
- Note: If you are unable to upload the certificate, you must report to the CBTST venue with the original certificate on the exam day. Failure to produce the original certificate during Document Verification will lead to rejection of candidature.
RRB NTPC Typing Test Pattern (Static Guide)
For candidates appearing for the RRB NTPC, understanding the rules is vital as this stage is qualifying in nature but mandatory for final selection.
- Speed Required:
- English: 30 Words Per Minute (WPM).
- Hindi: 25 Words Per Minute (WPM).
- Duration: 10 Minutes.
- Editing Tools: Editing tools and spell-check features are disabled.
- Formula: 5% of mistakes are usually ignored. Total mistakes above 5% are deducted from the total words typed to calculate the final speed.
