Detailed Context: Why This Notice Matters

Candidates who attended the Document Verification (DV) for RRB Patna in April-May & September 2025 (Technician) and August-September 2025 (JE) were sent for medical examination at Divisional Railway Hospitals in Danapur and DDU (Mughalsarai).

Some candidates were found UNFIT in the high medical standards (like A-3, B-1, B-2) required for their specific technical posts. These candidates were previously given a chance to appear before the Divisional Medical Committee (DMC). The decision of the DMC is generally considered final. However, this notice provides a last resort mechanism.

Critical Warning: If you do not file an appeal by the deadline (14-02-2026), the decision of the DMC will be treated as final, and your candidature for the posts requiring those specific medical standards will be permanently cancelled.

Step-by-Step Guide: How to File a Medical Appeal

Filing a medical appeal requires precision. A mistake in the format or missing documents will lead to immediate rejection. Follow these steps carefully:

1. Consult a Specialist (Proforma ‘A’)

You must visit a Government or Private Specialist Doctor in the relevant field (e.g., Ophthalmologist for vision, Orthopedic for limbs). The doctor must issue a certificate in Proforma ‘A’ (attached in the official notification).

  • Mandatory Declaration: The certificate MUST contain a specific note stating that the specialist is “fully aware of the physical & visual standards set by the Railways for the particular medical category” and knows that the candidate has already been declared unfit by a Railway Medical Board.
  • Attestation: The certificate must bear your photograph and identification mark, duly attested by the issuing doctor with their MCI/State Registration Number.

2. Prepare the Demand Draft (DD)

You must submit a fee of ₹1000/- via a Demand Draft.

  • In Favour Of: FA&CAO, E.C. Railway, Hajipur
  • Payable At: Hajipur
  • Refund Policy: If your appeal is successful and you are declared FIT upon re-examination, this amount will be returned. If you remain UNFIT, the amount is forfeited.
