Railway Recruitment Board (RRB), Ranchi has officially released the schedule for the 2nd Round of Document Verification (DV) and Medical Examination for the post of Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP) under CEN No. 01/2024. In a notice dated 28th January 2026, the board announced that 50 additional candidates have been provisionally shortlisted from the merit list to fill the shortfall caused by absenteeism, rejections, or medical unfitness in the previous round.
The Document Verification process is scheduled to be held from 09th February 2026 to 11th February 2026, with a designated Block Date on 25th February 2026 for valid absentees.

The DV will be conducted at the Railway Recruitment Board, Railway Office Complex, Ranchi. Candidates must report strictly at 09:30 Hrs.

Note on Medical Exam: Immediately after the DV, candidates will be sent for a Medical Examination at nominated Railway Hospitals. Candidates must come prepared to stay for 4 to 5 days. A medical fee of Rs. 24/- must be paid at the venue.
Essential Instructions for Shortlisted Candidates
- E-Call Letter: SMS and Email alerts have been sent. Candidates must download their e-call letter from the RRB Ranchi website.
- Document Upload: Before attending the physical DV, candidates MUST upload clear scanned images of their original documents, photo, and signature on the RRB DV Portal (
https://oirms-ir.gov.in/rrbdv/).- Portal Activation: 7 to 10 days prior to the DV date.
- Deadline: Closes on the date of DV.
- Block Date: If a candidate fails to appear on the scheduled date due to genuine reasons (University exam or sickness), they may appear on 25.02.2026 with documentary evidence. No fresh e-call letter will be issued for this.
Mentor Note: This 2nd round is a golden opportunity for those who missed the cut by a whisker. Ensure your medical fitness is up to the mark (A1 Standard), especially your vision. Do not forget to carry the candidate’s foil of your CBT-1, CBT-2, and CBAT e-call letters.
List of Documents Required for RRB ALP DV
Candidates must bring the Original Certificates along with two sets of A4 size photocopies. Failure to produce originals will lead to immediate forfeiture of candidature.
- Matriculation/High School Certificate: Proof of Date of Birth.
- Educational Qualification: ITI/Act Apprenticeship/Diploma/Engineering Degree Certificates and Marksheets (all semesters).
- Caste Certificate:
- SC/ST: As per Annexure-I (Central Govt Format).
- OBC-NCL: As per Annexure-II (Issued within the last 1 year) along with Non-Creamy Layer declaration.
- Income Certificate: For EBC candidates who availed fee concession (Annexure-III).
- Aadhaar Card: Original (both sides).
- Photos: 6 recent passport-size colour photographs (not older than one month).
- NOC: No Objection Certificate from current employer (for Serving Employees).
- E-Call Letter foils: Counterfoils of previous stages (CBT 1, 2 & CBAT).
- Affidavit: In case of any spelling variation in name/father’s name in the application vs documents.
