Railway General Awareness Quiz

🌍 Railway General Awareness Quiz — Free Bilingual Practice (English + Hindi)

General Awareness (GA) is the highest-scoring section in RRB NTPC, Group D, ALP CBT-2, RPF Constable, and most railway recruitment CBTs. This page collects only pure subject-practice quizzes — Indian History, Geography, Polity, Economy, Static GK, Government Schemes, Sports, Awards, and Important Days — without exam-specific cohorts so you build core knowledge that applies to every railway exam.

Every quiz is 10 questions, takes 5–7 minutes, and is fully bilingual (English + Hindi). The auto-graded result page shows the right answer with a detailed explanation in both languages, so each attempt doubles as a study session. New quizzes are added regularly.

Frequently asked questions

Why is General Awareness so important in railway exams?

Railway CBTs allocate 40 marks (RRB NTPC) to 50 marks (Group D) to GA + Current Affairs. It is also the section with the highest scoring potential because answers are factual and you either know them or you don't — there is no derivation involved. Strong GA preparation is the difference between making the cutoff and missing it.

What topics does this section cover?

Indian history (ancient, medieval, modern, freedom struggle), Indian and world geography, Indian polity and constitution, economy and budget basics, environment and ecology, sports and awards, government schemes and yojanas, important days, books and authors, and static GK (national symbols, dance forms, festivals, etc.). Each quiz mixes 2–3 sub-topics so you cover breadth.

Are these quizzes only for RRB Group D or for all railway exams?

These are pure General Awareness quizzes — relevant to every railway recruitment exam: RRB NTPC (Graduate & Under-Graduate), Group D, ALP, JE, Technician, RPF Constable & SI, Ministerial & Isolated, Paramedical, plus Metro Rail and DFCCIL. Exam-specific GA practice quizzes are tagged separately if you want them.

How should I use these quizzes in my study plan?

Take 1 GA quiz daily as a warm-up before harder subjects. After scoring, click on each wrong answer to read the explanation — that is where the real learning happens. Aim for 7+/10 consistently before moving to mock tests.
